Here, you can see Kevin holding an eagle perched on a falconer's glove, Micah riding a "Tamay" (Mongolian word for "camel"), and the ger in the background behind the camel's face.
Here is the inside ceiling of the ger...which was a shop of "tourist" gifts. We found out that two people live there overnight as their home and business.
Below, you can see Kevin perusing the gifts. For those of you who know him well, this wasn't his favorite
It's good to get to see the culture first-hand and mix with the Mongolian people.

Making memories in Mongolia!
Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a fun field trip. I'm planning an outing on May 19th with a group of the kids' friends; maybe we'll have to come tour a ger.
oh wait, we already did that when the Ghengis Khan exhibit was here in Denver! (But we didn't get to hold an eagle!)
Thanks for the fun pictures! I appreciated Kevin's basketball story in his last e-mail. How did his back fare after that game?!
Becky: His back was fine after the shots he took...that's good. However, his feet continue to give him problems with an uncomfortable feeling and a sort of numbness. (Not related to the basketball moments!)
Becky: When I wrote "after the shots" I meant "basketball shots", not any injections!
