| Chocolate from Germany--easy to obtain all kinds of chocolate here--from the very good to the downright tasteless, waxy stuff. What fun to look for the good stuff, though. Even though I haven't seen chocolate chips here (except at the American stores--and for a pretty penny...I mean tugrik), we make chocolate chip cookies here by taking a "chip off the old block" of chocolate. |
Speaking of taste...a famous quote could be changed to go something like this, "If the chocolate doesn't taste good, it is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot." And a thought I've had is, "Make them thirsty...don't drown them." To think more on these thoughts, read Mt. 5.13-16

oooooh, I may want to try that chocolate some day. Can't beat the name!!! :)
I'm seeing your parallel between chocolate and salt, because if the chocolate is made waxy it cannot be made good again, in the same way that if the salt is tasteless, it cannot be made salty again.
However, "don't drown them" is going right over my head. Maybe I ought to ponder a little more before I submit this comment.
Rebecca: If we are the salt of the earth, we should make people thirsty for Him...not just "drown" them in the truth. Yeah, this wasn't very clear. Ochlerey (sorry!).
