Our Mongolian Thanksgiving

Our team, minus Gillian.  Left to Right: Me, Micah, Kemba (front), Kathryn (back), Kevin.  The meal was chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, basil dressed green beans, homemade Mongolian berry sauce, homemade crescent rolls, and grape juice to mimick a good glass of wine!  Gillian came later for dessert, and we forgot to get a group picture at that time!

Gillian arrived with several Mongolian friends.  Here, they watch as Micah, Kathryn, and Kemba play the Bananagrams game.

The eating festivities continued with chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream, as well as apple pie.  Yes, we had "Thanksgiving Bellies"--and I've been better at my eating today (Friday).

I admire how you all have stepped out of your comfort zones to try new foods, learn a new language, play different games, and adapt to a completely different culture! So glad that you are sharing Western traditions with your new Eastern friends, too.

Love you!
