A Micro Ride!

Our mode of transportation on Tuesday, March 9, was a Micro (pronounced "meecro") ride. A micro is an old-style mini van which should really seat about 11 people. Yesterday, at one point, we had 23 stuffed in one. And we were part of it. Claustrophobia...ummm, that's a whole other post!

It was a wild ride to a very fun evening of observing some fellow teachers conducting a class much like the one we'll be teaching as practice teachers in only two weeks! We will have a more permanent class in the fall.

Here's Kevin observing the class. We were allowed to interact with the students on several activities:

Now, our job is to learn the teaching style AND learn the Mongolian language. As soon as I learn to post videos, I'll show our language class with video on this blog. We are tentative in our language at this point...but, of course! We've only had 6 hours of class and a few hours outside of class! Here's a picture of one our language teachers during our class this morning.
